Lewes Community Wildlife Project
Welcome to the Lewes Wildlife website. This website celebrates and promotes the wildlife and wild habitats that can be found in and around Lewes, Ringmer and the surrounding villages from the top of the downs to the depths of the Ouse.

Click on the links to find out more about the fantastic wildlife sites in this area and the animals and plants that live there. There is a full schedule of guided walks, courses and events throughout the year run by the Sussex Wildlife Trust and other local wildlife groups. These events are open to everyone.
There is also a sightings page for you to record your sightings. If you’re out and about in the countryside or just pottering around in your garden let us know what wildlife you’ve seen – and send in your photos.
