The lamb/hogget is:
- about a year old
- tastier than a supermarket lamb
- not as 'strong tasting' as mutton
- naturally-reared on our nature reserves
- raised to high welfare standards with low 'food miles'
- used to graze internationally important conservation sites
- benefitting key downland species such as marbled white butterfly and burnt orchid
- finished by our butchers using tradional techniques to produce high quaility, full-flavoured, tender meat
