GRAFFHAM COMMON NATURE RESERVE PUBLIC CONSULTATION

The Sussex Wildlife Trust is carrying out a public consultation on the management of its new reserve at Graffham Common and would like your views on proposals for a future heathland restoration plan of the conifer plantation.

The Trust is very keen to hear from all those who visit and value the Reserve with their views on a proposed heathland restoration scheme involving conifer harvesting, rhododendron clearance, litter scraping, grazing and fencing. Background information for this scheme explaining why the Trust is proposing this type of management is available below.

To discuss the scheme in person and hear more please come along to one of the drop in days the Trust is holding at The Empire Hall, The Street, Graffham, GU28 0QB between 18.30 and 20:30 on Friday 17th or Wednesday 22nd February 2012.

Or join a walk around the reserve on Sunday 19th or 26th February 10.30-12.30pm meeting at The National Trust car park at Lavington Common off an un-named road west of the A285 approx a mile north of Duncton.
