ADOPT A KISSING GATE

Located in Ebernoe Common, a superb ancient woodland nature reserve near Petworth, these kissing gates perform an important function.

The gates allow access to the visitors who come to enjoy the majesty of this Sussex woodland and keep the Trust’s grazing animals safe. The hardy cattle on this nature reserve are part of Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Conservation Grazing herd. They are a vital management tool in conserving this wonderful site and the rare wildlife that lives here including dormice, bluebells and nightingales.

A £500 donation will adopt one of the new kissing gates as an original wedding gift or as a memorial for a loved one.

This includes:
  • a brass plaque, with your personal dedication
  • a map showing the location of your kissing gate
