TELL US WHAT YOU HAVE SPOTTED

There are often times when you spot some wildlife and you are keen to tell somebody about it. But who do you tell and what information do you need to submit a record?

Following numerous enquiries about species that have been spotted out and about in the counties of East and West Sussex we decided to ensure we had an easy online recording form for your occasional sightings. All the data collected can then be fed to the Sussex Biodiversity Record Centre enabling us to build up a picture of the species that are found in Sussex.

So what are you waiting for? If you have spotted slow worm, goldcrest, brimstone butterfly or toad then let us know

Click here to fill in the species recording form

Don't forget to take a photo if you can, as we may need to email you back to verify your record. Unfortunately you can't attach a photo here, but mention that you have a photo in the comments section and we will contact you if we think we need to see it.

Please note that questions cannot be answered via the online recording form. If you are unsure about a species identification you can upload a photo or ask a question via the enquiry form on the WildCall pages.

To learn more about keeping track of the species in your garden why not download our Recording Garden Wildlife factsheet.
